Last Christmas of 2009

Is it just me or do we have alot of kids???

Michael, Ethan and Pops taking aim......

Ethan thinking he is "hardcore"

Today was our last Christmas of 2009....that makes 4 total. I'm really glad to have all that done!! We had a blast today, we went to Michael's mom's and again: ate too much, got too much, had a lot of laughs, and had a great time. Ethan got his first gun today from Memaw Brenda, a BB gun. I have to admit I was a little nervous about this. For all of you that know Ethan; well, he has a little trouble walking without falling, running into things, breaking things......you get the picture. So, the responsibility of a gun was SCARY! However, when he opened that, it was worth everything in the world to see that look on his face. Ethan is the only boy of all girls in the family and that made him a full grown man to have that gun. He thought he was really something! It was so fun to watch. Him and Michael made a target and he hit it a few times and you would have thought he won the lottery. There's already talks of bigger guns, killing birds, deer, squirrel, you name it! Tomorrow we are on a mission to shoot the rest of the BB's! We really did have a great time and everyone got some fun things. Tomorrow is the day to find a place for everything the kids got and start taking down Christmas stuff. Fun times....

Excitement

Well, all the kids are now home from their "other" parents and we are awaiting Christmas...Round 3. Tomorrow we head to the airport to pick up Michael and I can't tell if the kids are more excited about gifts or going to the airport. For some reason the airport is like a magical place to them and they have been talking about it non-stop. I hope they are not disappointed. You know, it used to be really cool when you could go all the way past security and watch the planes land and could be right there when the people got off the plane. Now, not so much. Now, you have to wait at the top of the stairs in a group of other people and hug then run so you don't get trampled on. Maybe we will see a plane landing as we drive up! Anyway, I'll let you know if it's as cool as they think or a let down. Pictures of our Christmas will soon follow.....On another note, I have not seen my husband in a little over a month and I'm very ready to see him. :)

Christmas....Round 2 at Grandmom's

Well, today was Christmas at Grandmom's with the whole family. This is the place where you can always expect lots of noise, lots of food and a little bit of chaos! It was great to have everyone there together. Of course we had to take pictures (for Grandmom) which we always complain about but the pictures always come out great. I secretly think that everyone really looks forward to that part. (don't lie people, I know you). I love my family and it was alot of fun to have everyone there and catch up with everyone. Note: I am not sentimental, that's as much as you will get. Trey stood up and sang Away in a Manager for everyone and it was extremely cute. Here are some pictures that we all hate to take so much. Merry Christmas everyone!!

Christmas at Nana and Papa's

Last night was the first official Christmas for the kids at Nana's house. Needless to say the kids were a little excited! Ethan started his day at 4:00 am waiting on Santa to get there! I had to work most of the day so my poor mother had to deal with that all day, I'm sure she slept really good last night! On a side note, my dad usually drives approximately 50 mph.....he's the one everyone passes and has a few choice words for. However, last night as we were out looking for Christmas lights so Santa could drop off presents, he decided to be speed racer. Not only was it raining extremely hard, we had no kid in a seat belt and my sister, mother and I were in the VERY back of the Tahoe praying we would all make it to see Christmas morning. Next year, I'm driving. This year was really fun though, the kids are all older and can really enjoy this time of year and their excitment can rub off pretty easy. I'm still trying to get full hearing back, Trey got a set of drums and he really tried them out (for a long time:)) We've got a few more days of the holidays to go and I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.

About Me

My photo
We are a blended family with four children. We have 3 girls and 1 boy. The oldest, Claudia is 10, Kennedy is 9, Ethan is 6 and Zoe is 4. It is very hectic when we are all together! The kids all get along and we have a great time, I wouldn't change anything!
